Mauritania host Angola in a topof-the-table Africa Cup of Nations Group I clash in Nouackchott tonight.

The sides, together with Burkina Faso, are tied on six points after three matches and a victory is important for either side, considering that the Burkinabe will be playing the whipping-boys of the Group, Botswana, in the other Group I match.

The hosts suffered a 4-1 drubbing away in Luanda in the first leg this past weekend and they will be looking to avenge that defeat and keep their hopes of qualifying for the 2019 Afcon alive.

They handed joint leaders Burkina Faso a 2-0 beating the last time they played at home in this qualifying campaign and they will be looking to register the same, if not better, result against the Angolans.

It won’t be easy though against a Sable Antelopes side that is unbeaten in their last four matches in all competitions.

Three wins and a draw in their last four matches make Angola the favourites to win this match, but it is going to be a very tough match for them considering what is at stake. However, I believe Angola will edge this one.
