Russian ‘spy’ to stay in Norway

-

– A Norwegian court said yesterday a Russian suspected of spying should be released but police filed an appeal against the ruling, his lawyer said.

Mikhail Bochkaryov was detained on September 21 at Oslo airport. He will remain in detention awaiting a decision from the appeals court, attorney Hege Aakre said.

Bochkaryov was suspected of spying at Norway’s parliament while at a seminar, police said. Russia demanded that Norway release Bochkaryov, a staffer of its parliament. – Reuters
