Manchester United and Juventus will square off tonight at Old Trafford in a Group H clash in the Uefa Champions League.

The Red Devils were held to a disappointing goalless draw at home by Valencia in their previous Champions League fixture.

Manager Jose Mourinho has come under intense pressure this season following a string of poor results. They do, however appear to be turning a corner having gone unbeaten in their last three matches in all competitions, including a 2-2 draw away at Chelsea last Saturday.

Juventus finally dropped points for the first time this season this weekend after being held to a 1-1 draw at home by lowly Genoa in the Serie A. Cristiano Ronaldo’s effort on 18 minutes was cancelled by a strike from the visitors in the second half.

Ronaldo looks set to face his former club as he makes his return from suspension.

Head-to-head Champions League statistics just favour the Red Devils going into this match, with Man U winning four, Juventus winning three and with one draw in eight meetings.

They faced each other in the group stage of the Champions League in 2003 with United claiming a 2-1 victory at home before running out 3-0 winners in the reverse fixture.

Having said that, I believe that Juve will edge this one.
