Controversial Folau signed up

– Star fullback Israel Folau has signed a new deal with the Wallabies and Waratahs that will run through 2022, Fairfax media reported yesterday.

The contract was inked some time ago but kept under wraps amid controversy over anti-gay comments by the 29-year-old this year.

This news followed high-profile signings for Test captain Michael Hooper and tighthead prop Allan Alaalatoa as well as an agreement which will keep playmaker Bernard Foley with the Wallabies through next year’s World Cup. –
