Golf course to be reopened in 2019

The Citizen apologises for incorrectly reporting on Tuesday that the Soweto Country Club has been reopened for play.

Golf legend Gary Player did inspect the course on Monday and although no opening date has been set, the club is likely to open for play during the first quarter of 2019.

The club will also become the official legacy project to the South African Open and is set to host a couple of rounds of the SA Open next year. – Sports staff
