Danish financial regulator empowered

– Denmark is to strengthen its financial regulator to fight money-laundering better, its business minister said yesterday, as the country’s largest bank, Danske Bank, is embroiled in a major scandal. It involves €200 billion (R3.3 trillion) paid through Danske’s Estonian branch from 2007 to 2015, which the bank said in a report were suspicious. – Reuters
