The match between Bidvest Wits and Highlands Park does not quite fit the narrative of the David versus Goliath story, but Gavin Hunt’s team look the superior side going into tonight’s Absa Premiership battle.

The Students lead the standings with 17 points from nine games and have a game in hand over Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, who meet tomorrow in the first Soweto derby of the season.

Though the Lions of the North have only lost once in the league, they have not had any joy in the Telkom Knockout, as they fell to Fadlu Davids’ Maritzburg United, while Wits are oozing confidence after beating Free State Stars and continuing their Telkom Knockout defence.

It is unlikely that tonight’s tie will end in a draw. Highlands Park will leave Milpark with nothing.
