SA takes three accolades

PAM GOLDING: WON THREE FIVE-STAR AWARDS AT THE 2018-19 AFRICAN PROPERTY AWARDS

Will compete for title of ‘Best in Dubai, Africa and Arabia’ and then go for the honour of being named ‘Best in the World’ in London on December 3.

Top African property industry profession­als proved themselves to be the very best in their field as they collected their 201819 African Property Awards on October 11. The glittering awards presentati­on was held at the Waldorf Astoria Palm Jumeirah in Dubai where the accolades were presented by Sultan Butti, Bin Majren, director general of the Dubai Land Department, Stuart Shield, president of the Internatio­nal Property Awards and Giovanni Marzo, area manager of Africa, Gulf and South East Asia, Salice, the 2018 awards’ official sponsor.

The African Property Awards are part of the Internatio­nal Property Awards, which are in their 25th year and are open to residentia­l and commercial profession­als from around the globe.

Covering 48 categories, regional heats are staged for Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe, Arabia, Canada, Central and South America, the Caribbean, US and UK.

Over 200 entries were scrutinise­d by the judging committee, chaired by the Earl of Caithness, Lord Best, the Earl of Liverpool and more than 80 industry profession­als

Forty-eight African companies received awards for categories, ranging from property developmen­t to real estate, interior design and architectu­re.

Two African companies which won awards were:

Pam Golding Properties, based in South Africa, won three five-star awards:

Devtraco Plus Limited, based in Ghana, won a five-star award:

Mixed-use architectu­re – nova project Twenty-four of the African winners at country level will compete against companies in Dubai, Africa and Arabia to be named Best in Dubai, Africa and Arabia – and, perhaps ultimately, Best in the World.

Results at these levels will be announced at the Internatio­nal Property Awards ceremony on December 3 at the Savoy Hotel in London, UK.
