Mdatyulwa happy with Chippa

Had Chippa United not signed Nedbank Ke Yona team graduate Lunathi Mdatyulwa (above), the 22-year-old midfielder would have earned himself a contract elsewhere, a source close to the player has revealed. Mdatjulwa recently signed a three-year contract after a month-long trial at the club. “Many teams were interested in his services, they wanted to sign him on the spot but he was keen on impressing at Chippa because he likes the way the team play and believes it is a good start for his career at the club. He has made everyone in his family proud because he thought about quitting football a couple of years ago,” said the source.
