ANC and DA need to get their houses in order

As a permanent resident of South Africa for just over 35 years, I have had the privilege of paying taxes, UIF and sundry other charges which is to be expected.

However, as a permanent resident I am not permitted to vote!

This gives me a somewhat different perspective of the political parties, I suspect.

There are, in my view, just two political parties which have any chance of winning the national elections in 2019.

In alphabetical order they are the ANC and the DA.

Both of these parties are experiencing massive internal upheavals and neither presents a united face to the electorate.

I believe that the first of these two parties who can get their house in order swiftly, will in all probability win the elections in 2019.

Personally, I wouldn’t place a bet on either one!
