Synagogue attack a stark reminder

The horrific attack on a synagogue in Pittsburgh in the US starkly reminded us of what could happen when anti-Semitic rhetoric and actions are ignored.

It is time for world leaders to address this issue with the urgency it deserves.

The sad reality is that it seems that we learned nothing from history.

To attack people in a place of worship is an evil of the worst kind. I cannot think of a more cowardly act.

Anti-Semitism must be exposed in all its ugly forms and decisively dealt with.

It is the only way to prevent such a heinous crime from happening again.

All peace-loving people in the world need to raise their voices against the disgraceful phenomenon called anti-Semitism.
