Due to a production error, the response from the Northern Cape health department was omitted from yesterday’s article, “N Cape health in state of disarray”.

In response to claims that the department is unable to fill critical posts at several facilities, departmental spokesperson, Lulu Mxekezo said: “Generally the Northern Cape Department of Health experiences shortage of staff based on demands of communities’ needs that are ever increasing. Human resources processes are underway to appoint personnel, especially the key managerial positions.”
