Maritzburg United and Highlands Park meet at the Harry Gwala Stadium this evening in an Absa Premiership clash, with both sides struggling.

United’s woes are more surprising, with Fadlu Davids’ side doing so well last season, and they could really do with a lift today at home. United have won just one of eight league games, though they beat Highlands Park at the Harry Gwala a few weeks ago, 2-1 in a Telkom Knockout last-16 clash.

That should give them some impetus, though they were knocked out of the TKO last weekend by Bidvest Wits.

Maritzburg have proved hard to beat, with just two defeats, and so have Highlands Park, with the two sides amassing nine draws in 17 Premiership games. For this reason alone, it is hard to see beyond another share of the spoils this evening.
