Boks out to extend French stranglehold

-

The Springboks have a wonderful record against France. They have beaten the French 26 times, lost just 11, with six draws in their 43 Tests since their first clash in Bordeaux in 1913. The two nations meet in Paris tonight. Since losing three in a row from 2005 to 2009, South Africa have won six on the trot, including last year’s 18-17 victory at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis – their fourth win over the Tricolors in 2017. In France, the Boks have only lost five times, with 13 victories.
