Security industry the fault of cops

Apathetic government unable to give suitable security to the people of South Africa has spawned the so called security industry. Patrolling, armed response, alarm activations, alarm installations ... an endless list of money-making opportunities for this massive industry.

Our incompetent cops do not have vehicles to patrol, because their vehicles have been involved in accidents and mostly they are not repairable.

A neighbour’s home was broken into in broad daylight and valuables taken by these opportunist criminals, and the response of the security company was that she needs to upgrade her security at a cost of R70 000.

I think she is still waiting for the cops to arrive – what a bunch of comedians!
