Monaco’s top cops on bribe rap

Monaco – Three se­nior Monaco po­lice of­fi­cers have been charged in con­nec­tion with a cor­rup­tion in­quiry in­volv­ing the bil­lion­aire Rus­sian owner of the Mediter­ranean prin­ci­pal­ity’s foot­ball club, pros­e­cu­tors said yes­ter­day.

Charges were laid on Thurs­day against Dmitry Ry­bolovlev, his lawyer and for­mer jus­tice chief Philippe Narmino. The head of the crim­i­nal in­ves­ti­ga­tion divi­sion, Christophe Haget, his deputy Patrick Fusari and re­tired po­lice chief Regis Asso were also charged with in­flu­ence ped­dling. –
