Tsotetsi wants all-out attack

Maccabi FC coach Mokete Tsotetsi (above) is happy that his team are not reliant on one player for goals despite having one of the mostfeared strikers in the National First Division.

Tsotetsi will hope their well is full again this afternoon so they can draw some goals as they look to collect three points when they host Uthongathi FC at Dobsonville Stadium.

“The plan is to have every attacking player have their name on the scoresheet this season. It is good for the team that we are not over-reliant on one or two players for the goals,” he said.

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Lebogang Mokoena was the latest to add his name to the scorers’ charts with the first in the 2-1 win at Real Eagles and Mokete said he was elated for him as he had been working hard.

“I am happy for “Cheese”, he has been working hard and his contribution has been notable and commendable. Now that he has opened his account, I hope more will come,” said the former Kaizer Chiefs defender.

In Uthongathi, Maccabi face a side who are not easy to predict and who have an experienced coach in Johnny Ferreira.

“It is going to be a difficult game. They will be looking for three points. But we also want these points especially after winning away. We aim to win all our home games,” said Tsotetsi.

Jomo Cosmos – who were held to a draw at home by lowly Ubuntu Cape Town last week – are meanwhile away to leaders Stellenbosch, also this afternoon.

It will be a difficult game for Ezenkosi against a side who have striker Iqraam Rayners in top form and in free-scoring mode lately. But Jomo Sono’s teams are always known to be stubborn at the back and they could just spring a surprise in the Mother City.

University of Pretoria will hope to put behind them last weekend’s embarrassing 3-0 home defeat when they take on TS Galaxy at Kameelrivier Stadium in KwaNdebele tomorrow afternoon.
