Senior debut for Klinsmann Jr

– Jonathan Klinsmann, son of former United States national team coach and retired German star Jurgen Klinsmann, joined the US squad on Monday, three days before the Americans face England at Wembley.

Klinsmann, a 21-yearold goalkeeper for Hertha Berlin, was called upon for the first time after hamstring injuries sidelined US goalkeeper Zack Steffen and American midfielder Darlington Nagbe.

Klinsmann played for the US in last year’s Fifa Under-20 World Cup.

The US also face Italy on November 20 at Genk in Belgium. –
