Transnet playing waiting game

-

It is starkly clear that Transnet is playing a waiting game, hoping that the pensioner tally will eventually dwindle to zero.

When the original legal action was instituted, there were 80 000 pensioners. The total is now 50 000. It is disgusting that an institution can forsake all of these old people in their hour of need, only wanting what is due to them.

If all the corruption within Transnet had been eradicated or not taken place, these pensioners could have been paid twice over. But no, it is all about “what is in it for me”, a South African buzz phrase.
