Cop and gunman shot in Brussels
Brussels – A police officer was stabbed in Brussels early yesterday in what local newspaper DH said was an apparent Islamist militant attack – though police said the motive was unclear.
The attack happened outside the city’s main police station at about 5.30am, a police spokesperson said. The attacker was shot and wounded by another officer.
DH cited unnamed sources as saying the attacker shouted “Allahu akbar” (God is most great).
