12: Damian de Allende

While the centre made some vital tackles, he seemed to lack the ability to create anything worthwhile on attack and the Boks looked more adventurous once De Allende was subbed by Jantjies in the 45th minute, with Pollard moving to inside centre. Rating: 6/10

Though he scored the Boks’ only try, he lacked vision when his first attempt was disallowed just before the break after he had a double overlap on his outside. Kriel was solid on defence and attack, but his combination with De Allende is not working. Rating: 7/10

Probably the only Bok back who looked dangerous every time he touched the ball, Kolbe made the most of his chance after he was called on to start, with Sbu Nkosi injuring himself during the warm-up and being forced to pull out of the game.
