Gardner stars in World T20 show

– All-rounder Ashleigh Gardner starred as Australia cruised to an eight-wicket win over England in the Women’s World Twenty20 final in Antigua on Saturday.

Gardner and leg-spinner Georgia Wareham combined for five wickets to restrict the English to 105 all out off 19.4 overs.

She then featured in an unbroken third-wicket partnership of 62 as the Aussies lifted their fourth World T20 crown. –
