Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic leads this week’s team from the dugout following yet another Soweto derby triumph over age-old rivals Kaizer Chiefs to eliminate Amakhosi from the Telkom Knockout. Pirates’ duo Thembinkosi Lorch and Justin Shonga are part of a trio in attack after both scored in the Buccaneers’ 2-1 win against Chiefs. Banyana Banyana’s Thembi Kgatlana completes the front line as she scored against Zambia to send the ladies team to the semifinal of the women’s Afcon. Pirates’ Xola Mlambo assumes the role of anchorman after a Man-of-the-Match performance in the derby. Vincent Pule flanks him on the right following a gorgeous assist he played for Lorch, while Matome Mabeba’s stunning freekick that eliminated Bidvest Wits earns him a spot on the left side of midfield. The back four consists of Pirates leftback Innocent Maela who kept Ramahlwe Mphahlele and his overlapping runs at bay. Vusi Sibiya and Bonginkosi Makume are the partners at the heart of defence, while Banyana’s Lebogang Ramalepe impressive performance against Chipolopolo sees her slot in at rightback. The gloves belong to Bakgaga’s Elvis Chipezeze as he denied Wits.
