Manchester United’s sorry campaign so far continued on Saturday, as they could only muster a goalless draw at home to Crystal Palace in the English Premier League. Jose Mourinho’s side are currently seventh in the EPL, some 14 points behind leaders Manchester City.

It has gone a little better for United in the Uefa Champions League, with a brilliant win at Juventus in their last Group H match, giving them every chance of making the last-16.

United are second in their group, two points behind Juventus, and two ahead of Valencia. If United can beat the group’s worst side, Young Boys of Switzerland, at Old Trafford this evening, and Juventus beat Valencia or hold them to a draw in Turin, Mourinho’s men will secure progress to the knockout stages.

United did manage a 3-0 win at Young Boys in their Group H opener, and even with all their troubles this season, they should have way too much again for their Swiss opponents this evening.

Young Boys have managed just a point in the group so far, a 1-1 draw at home to Valencia. Away from home, they have lost 3-0 to Juventus and 3-1 to Valencia.

I expect another heavy defeat tonight, probably 4-0 to United.
