Inquiry venue waste of taxpayers’ money

-

Government is renting the media company building at great cost, writes Jackie Lesetja.

Iwas not aware that the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture headed by judge Raymond Zondo is being held at Tiso Blackstar, a media company. I don’t expect any of their journalists to raise concerns about this but other media companies should have condemned this as unfair and irresponsible. No one seems to care.

This is a very important matter raised by the Economic Freedom Fighters’ leadership.

The thing is, government is renting this building at a cost.

The money that should be used for providing services to the people is being given to a media company.

The ANC government has lots of places where this commission could’ve been held without paying a cent.

If this is the new dawn that Cyril Ramaphosa was talking about, then I don’t know.

So, in the two years that the commission will be sitting, how much will taxpayers be paying?

This is nothing but another form of enriching friends. Big ups to the Red Berets for alerting the public.
