It would be unforgivable if Paris Saint-Germain were to lose at home and miss out on the group stages of the Uefa Champions League.

But with football being what it is, it is possible. The defeat will mean Thomas Tuchel’s PSG do not advance to the next round as they are currently third in Group C with five points.

They are however one point behind Liverpool whom they host tonight at Parc des Princes Stadium who have six, equal with Napoli who top the group on goal difference.

If Napoli do what is expected of them and beat Red Star Belgrade, and PSG fall against Liverpool, they are out as they can only then get to eight points. Liverpool and Napoli would be on nine and home free.

All this makes for a thrilling match as PSG has to win tonight and move to eight points and shift the pressure back to Liverpool going to the last round of games.

Liverpool have a sharp coach in Juergen Klopp who is capable of masterminding PSG’s downfall but I don’t think it will work this time around. I fancy PSG to win tonight.
