Six nabbed for Sondela killings

-

Six people were arrested in connection with the murder of 11 people at Sondela informal settlement near Rustenburg, North West police said yesterday.

Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone said they were arrested between Monday and Tuesday.

“The suspects aged between 34 and 56 are expected to appear in the Rustenburg Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, November 29, 2018 facing charges of kidnapping, assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, murder, arson and conspiracy to commit crime,” he said.

Their arrests followed incidents between November 18 and 26 in what appeared to be mob justice after people were killed and properties vandalised. – ANA
