Taxes on illegal ciggies won’t help

If all the evaded taxes on illegal cigarettes could be collected by government would it really result in a better life for all?

I doubt it, as the bankrupt SOEs would swallow it up to try and survive another year.

Would Sassa pensions increase? I doubt that too. The more revenue government gets the more the SOEs gobble it up and there’s nothing left for meaningful needs like proper toilets at schools. The list is endless. Bob Gillies
