Mamelodi Sundowns are wellknown for their high-profile signings, but Lyle Lakay was one that slightly slipped under the radar when he joined from Cape Town City this season. Lakay, however, is slowly cementing his place in the side at left-back. On Sunday, he scored his first goal for Sundowns when his finish from Lebo Maboe’s cross put 2-0 up against SuperSport in the Tshwane derby. Lakay got another start in midweek in the Caf Champions League second leg against Leones Vegetarianos, popping up with the fifth goal in a 5-1 win.
