Event organisers must take the blame

The organisers that brought us this nightmarish Global Citizen event should be severely chastised for their inability to provide adequate security and marshals to ensure the free flow of traffic.

Again, South Africa’s image has been tarnished, as was clearly evidenced by poor planning and execution.

Criminality was rampant, as gangs took control of the outer perimeter of the stadium, openly threatening, hurting and stealing from innocent visitors. No cops, no security, no JMPD! The organisers of this chaotic event are culpable, by not doing their homework and allowing the chaos that ensued. Peter Bachtis
