Why no arrests in VBS Bank saga?

There has been little media coverage as to whether there have been any arrests of people involved in the VBS Bank thefts, the biggest banking scandal in our history.

Advocate Terry Motau, after his investigations, identified 53 people that benefitted from this theft of R2 billion, in the way of bribes, beneficiary and gratuitous payments, but there have been no arrests.

Perhaps new NPA boss Shamila Batohi, pictured, can ensure those involved are arrested and jailed.

Today, theft by individuals runs into millions of rand but they are treated no worse than a common shoplifter stealing bread. Bob Gillies
