Minimum wage set for January

-

South Africa will officially introduce the minimum wage on January 1, President Cyril Ramaphosa said.

The legislation will force companies to pay workers a minimum of R20 an hour.

“The ideal level, it must help create jobs in a country where 27% of the labour force is unemployed and will provide an economic stimulus,” Ramaphosa said. –Bloomberg
