Louis hurtles up ranking charts

South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen rose 11 spots to No 25 in the latest world golf rankings yesterday.

Oosthuizen, 36, surged to a six-shot victory on 18-under in the SA Open at Randpark Golf Club on Sunday, the tournament also marking his first win since 2016 and a cheque of R2.8m.

He added the SA Open title to his British Open win in 2010, becoming just the fourth South African to have won both tournaments after Bobby Locke, Ernie Els and Gary Player. – ANA
