Zwane likely to be by Middendorp’s side

Arthur Zwane (below) is the favourite to be named new Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp’s assistant. Middendorp was a surprise hiring by Amakhosi who released Giovanni Solinas and his assistant Patrick Mabedi last Friday. Amakhosi official Bobby Motaung confirmed that the issue of the assistant was being sorted out and he would be revealed soon. But he could not confirm whether or not it would be someone already at the club or an outsider. “Zwane is already working closely with the coach and they seem to have hit it off quite well. I heard that his picture was already being sent to the PSL to have a card made for him so he can sit on the bench on Wednesday,” said a source.
