Offer solution to Eskom woes to get my vote

Without a properly functioning power utility, we have no economy,

- writes Mervyn Bick.

The Democratic Alliance has just sent me an unsolicited SMS telling me that the ANC has killed the lights and it’s time we took back their power.

Eskom’s inability to provide sufficient power is an existing problem which has to be corrected urgently by whichever party wins the election.

We could do without SAA, Denel and even the SABC but, without Eskom, there simply isn’t an economy.

Don’t tell me what problems exist. I can see them for myself. I need to know what can be done to solve the problems.

I might just consider voting for the DA if, instead of just pointing fingers at the ANC, they can tell me how they propose solving the problem without bringing the economy to its knees.
