Coco sets off for new challenges at Kempton

-

London - Glenn Coco leaves his beloved Chelmsford for the surroundings of Kempton today – but it can result in triumph for Stuart Williams' in-form five-year-old in the 32Red.com Handicap.

This grey gelding has struck twice in his last three starts, all at the Essex venue, and has been put up only 1.5kg for his latest success.

It has been more than six weeks since his last race, so the son of Aussie Rules should be nicely freshened up for a return to action.

There is no reason to suggest Glenn Coco should not fire at Kempton, because he was second on his only previous run at the Sunbury track - albeit in November 2017.

It usually pays to follow Sir Mark Prescott when he steps a horse up in trip, and Elysees Palace can prove the point by lifting the 32Red Handicap.

This five-year-old has already had four starts in 2019 after returning from a 247-day break. He duly obliged to take his winning run to three, but has since only been placed in three subsequent outings.

This may partly be the reason the Newmarket trainer has decided on taking the course of action of a stiffer stamina test that this 3200m offers. Elysees Palace is certainly worth the chance to show he does stay.

Spiritually can make it third time lucky in the 100% Profit Boost At 32RedSport.com Novice Stakes.

This Chris Wall-trained filly stepped up somewhat on her Newcastle debut in November when shaping with more promise to finish third at Chelmsford.

Spiritually was beaten only 2.25 lengths that day to suggest she is starting to learn her job and is close to opening her account.

Bubbelah showed improved form when second at Chelmsford on his first run after being gelded.

His trainer David Simcock looks to have found a suitable opportunity for the son of Zoffany in division one of the Bet At racing.com Handicap.

Master Vintage should be suited by the slight step back up in trip at Stratford after putting in good late work to take second place over an extended 3200m last time.

This 11-year-old, trained by Richard Phillips, finished to such effect he was only a head behind Paddy's Poem at the line.

He can go one better in the Free Bet Every Race At Cheltenham BetVictor Chase.

Gavin Cromwell's Irish raider Lever Du Soleil looks the answer to the Lengthen The Odds With BetVictor Juvenile Hurdle.

This four-year-old, who was a winner on the Flat for Tim Easterby, has already

had plenty of experience over the smaller obstacles. He was beaten only 6.25 lengths when fourth in a Grade 3 event at Fairyhouse last month.

Shantung can continue Lucy Wadham's wonderful run of form in the Star Sports In The App Store Now Mates' Handicap Hurdle at Plumpton.

This six-year-old must carry top weight but has been running well against some classy rivals in novice-hurdle company.

The omission of the secondlast flight did not help Micras when she was second at Wincanton, but Matt Shepherd's eightyear-old can gain compensation in the Follow At willhillracing On Twitter Mares' Handicap Hurdle at Taunton. -
