All over the world murals are popping up to pay tribute to George Floyd, a black man and former American footballer who played for the New York Jets. He was killed by a police officer in May in Minneapolis. The killing has fuelled a global movement. Artists are honouring his memory, drawing attention to the horrific killing and raising awareness to the larger issue of police perpetrating state-sanctioned violence.
