Durban July party in your back yard

PARTY PACK: RACE-DAY ESSENTIALS

- Sandisiwe Mbhele

Don’t miss out on your favourite aspects of the big occasion.

The Vodacom Durban July this year is going to be completely different, but you already knew that. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many events have been either cancelled or postponed. However, the famous race in July in Durban will still be going ahead, but virtually.

All your favourite aspects of the day – the fashion, the drinks and the races – will still be taking place.

This year the July will take place on Saturday and the popular VIP lounges will now be in the comfort of your home.

Event World will be proving exclusive food, drinks and décor packages for the race day party in your home.

Edwina Brown from Event World said this exclusive package will only be available to Durban residents due to the travel restrictions in place.

The Citizen got the exclusive menus and options which are plenty choose from for your convenience and race day pleasure.

Since President Cyril Ramaphosa’s announcement that the sale of alcohol would be banned again, Event World had to alter their drink’s menu, so you won’t find alcohol available.

They will be offering one case of appetisers and one case of alcohol-free Bavaria beer.

There is more … there is an added sponsors’ gift pack that comes with a Hollywood Betting voucher, a race card, pen, beer cooler (if you managed to stock up before the ban) and a Vodacom sanitiser.

If you are looking to braai on the day, a braai pack has been made up to save you from going out and buying your meat.
