Peta picks and chooses causes

While Peta is the largest animal rights organisation in the world, I feel it is selective in the causes it pursues.

Trophy hunting is deplorable but the trophy animals are culled humanely and swiftly. Why no outcry or move to ban the cruel shipment of thousands of sheep and goats to Muslim countries for ritual sacrifice?

Not only do many die agonising inhumane deaths in ships’ holds, on arrival they are kept in deplorable conditions and then meet ritual death by barbaric slaughter? Ban this appalling trade!
