New interest in Buhle

AmaZulu FC have re-ignited their interest in former Bidvest Wits and Bafana defender Buhle Mkhwanazi following the side’s uninspiring defensive displays. A source has told Phakaaathi that the 4-3 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns made management realise that they needed to fortify their defence, and Mkhwanazi emerged as the man who could help stabilise the Usuthu backline. “The team are doing well going forward and they can create and score goals. Now the worry is if you can’t shut the back door, you will not win games. The team concedes more than they score. Buhle’s experience will come in handy,” said the source. Phakaathi reported last month that Usuthu were interested in Mkhwanazi but his wage demands proved too high for the Durban-based club.
