Indicators are there for a reason

As an obedient and responsible driver, I’m finding it more and more difficult to understand the following;

When are the authorities going to wake up and face the reality to the main problem behind the scourge on our roads.

Modern-day drivers appear to be totally oblivious to the reason why motor cars are equipped with indicators. Failing to indicate well ahead of time, or not indicating at all, is the cause of the country’s alarming accident rate.
