Strong hand for Candice

- Jack Milner

Candice Bass-Robinson looks the trainer to follow at Kenilworth tomorrow.

She sends out some potent runners, in particular in Races 3 and 8 where both could be considered Pick 6 bankers if one is looking to cut back.

Best of the day could be Greenlightflash in Race 8 as he has strong winning credentials. He runs in a Maiden Plate over 1600m and if he can repeat his last run, will be very hard to beat.

Drawn No 10 over this course and distance, Greenlightflash found himself way out of his ground but managed to produce a powerful finish to end up 1.25 lengths behind Wolf Man.

This time he is drawn No 1 and that should make life a lot easier for jockey Aldo Domeyer.

In Race 3, a Maiden Plate over 1200m, Benjamin should shed his maiden tag as well. He came back last time after having been gelded to finish a 1.50-length second to Preemptive Strike.

Stablemates Global Goddess and Karen Blixen look likely to fight out Race 2 over 1200m before Jo Loves attempts to go one better in Race 4 over 1200m, having filled the runner-up berth over this track and trip last time.

A tough meeting on paper so it may pay to pick and choose some smart bets on the day with the tote a good guide to stable confidence.

Case in point is the maiden WHO LOVES BAE is Race 4.

The former Australianbased runner found one better at his Singapore debut but faces a very ordinary field on Saturday, so you would imagine he wins comfortably and it may only be his starting price that is an obstacle for punters.

It’s no surprise that M Hakim rides WHO LOVES BAE and the leading apprentice also has a big winning show on the Mark Walkertrained MUSTENGO in Race 7.

The last-start winner looks well placed in the same company with only 50.5kg to carry and the Polytrack holds no fears, as does the 1800m journey, with gate No 1 a bonus.

But while Hakim continues to get the good rides, Vlad Duric looks to have a very good book and he should have a big day.

The multiple champion jockey could knock in a few winners early with CAVALLA

COURT, REAL EFECTO and HEAVENLY DANCER big chances in Races 1, 2 and 3 respectively, while SPORTSCASTER, LUCK OF MASTER and BEAR WITNESS all look each-way hopes in Races 6, 7 and 8.

If he has had a big day, RISE OF EMPIRE is some hope if right in the last and whatever the result, it’s good to have Vlad Duric back at Kranji.
