Arrest those who fail to pay tax

The revelations at the Zondo commission about the bags of cash being dished out at the Gupta shebeen in Saxonwold – and the multi-million rand shopping sprees, and travel all funded from stolen taxpayers’ money – must beg the question about the tax implications of this illicit loot.

Were these monies declared as income. If not, then surely Sars should be nailing the criminals for evasion of tax even before we get onto the criminality of state capture? Let them rot in jail. Peter Baker
