It will be interesting to compare how the ANC-controlled Eastern Cape compares with the DA-controlled Western Cape as regards its day zero water crisis. The DA sorted out the problem. Can the ANC?

Comrade Modise, you paid your farm “manager” R30 per day, but he has to take the fall for you. You supplied no feed. Disgusting. But, as the saying goes, “easy come, easy go”. If you had to save a cent to buy that farm or animals, there would be no neglect. Up the expropriation revolution!

I do hope the fatcat powersthat-be take note of the excellent article “Prices push poor to abyss of starvation”. Makes for pitiful reading. Food banks as they have in the US should be introduced – and managed by incorruptible people like Gift of the Givers. Are you listening, CR and co?

Mrs G, sport is not a matter of life and death! It is more important than that!

I agree with Ton in regards to payment of Sassa grants. Telkom will not change the “due by” date on their statements. Pay by the first of each month or be charged a penalty fee. Pensioner or not.

Idwal , we have a very credible opposition, I’m surprised you haven’t heard of it. It’s called the Democratic Alliance. If you want proof of how well it functions, just look at the Western Cape province, especially Cape Town.

Listening to Pule Mabe, Tony Yengeni, etc, and remembering a slew of past ANC spokesmen as far back as Mac Maharaj, reminds me of my late father’s favourite word, “twaddle”. Moreover, it convinces me that the premier requirement to be given such a role by the ANC is the ability to excel at said “twaddling”. E Jay
