This is what freedom is about...

‘There’s not much freedom in South Africa.” Let me add to Bob’s list... Freedom is when your children can play in your own garden without an adult having to be on vigil duty.

Freedom is being able to take a walk in your own area, between the overgrown grass and piles of rubbish that were not there before.

Freedom is to be able to stop at a robot and not have to look around for hijackers.

Freedom is being able to do a long trip to the coast during the night knowing that all motorists are abiding by the road rules, and some idiot has not stopped his car, lights off in the middle of a national road.

Freedom is knowing that your children are going to school and will be safe between their peers.

Freedom is having municipalities that keep the town clean, so that our towns don’t look like rubbish dumps.

Freedom is drivers adhering to robots – that green is for go, amber you yield and red you stop.

Freedom is drivers adhering to stop signs and actually apply brakes.
