INSTAT INDEX STILL RANKS MESSI TOP OF THE POPS

The index developed by the sports data company InStat to assess the performance of football players, has again ranked Lionel Messi top, ahead of Neymar and Robert Lewandowski. The index analyses their match-bymatch performances, their playing time, as well as the level of the competitions in which matches were played. Manchester City’s full back João Cancelo heads the table in the English Premier League ahead of teammates Rodri Hernández, Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez. Top in Serie A is Lorenzo Insigne of Napoli, followed by Achraf Hakimi (Inter), Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus), Théo Hernández (Milan) and Domenico Berardi (Sassuolo).
