Are you ready to go Trippin’ with the Kandasamys? The official trailer has just dropped.

Get ready for belly laughs and hashtag-relatable family drama, as Trippin’ with the Kandasamys makes its way to Netflix on 4 June.

Following the popular Kandasamys: The Wedding, this instalment of the well-loved franchise follows the gang on a hilarious bonding trip, planned by Jennifer and Shanti for Shanti’s 50th birthday celebration.

The two besties have their own plans for this trip, specifically spicing up their marriages, but, surprise, surprise, things don’t work out as they hoped (thanks Elvis and Preggy), and an unexpected guest brings turmoil that needs quick thinking on the women’s part.

A roller coaster of emotions is about to be unleashed as the two couples’ relationship frailties are exposed.

This third part of the Kandasamys’ trilogy examines the institution of marriage and explores the ingredients of strong and meaningful relationships, whilst guaranteeing the fun and laughter that audiences look forward to.

Directed by award-winning Jayan Moodley, Trippin’ with the Kandasamys stars fan favourites Jailoshini Naidoo (Jennifer) and Maeshni Naicker (Shanti), the two besties you love to love,

Mishqah Parthiephal (Jodi) and Madhushan Singh (Preshen), the nervous but excited newlyweds, the annoyingly funny husbands,

Koobeshen Naidoo (Elvis), Yugaan Naidoo (Preggy) and the ever-loveable and quick-witted Aya, played by Miriam Bassa, with fresh face Uraysha Ramracheya rounding out the cast.

Moodley said: “As a South African film-maker, the feelings are a mixed bag of delight, absolute thrill, happiness and excitement.

“To have our story on the world’s largest streaming service, and to be able to share a slice of South Africa with over 190 countries is nothing short of awesome.

“It’s really the stuff dreams are made of.

“Thank you Netflix.”

Trippin’ with the Kandasamys was shot exclusively in locations in Durban and on KwaZulu-Natal’s South Coast.
