Favouritism is written all over the squad. Agents are controlling Notoane and mark my words, no player from this squad will be scouted. Steven Pienaar also said that this team is going nowhere.They won’t even win a single match. Players who are bench warmers were selected. What about those players in the Glad Africa who play week-in and week-out and are not selected? Where’s fairness?

I disagree with Mr Ntsoelengoe on Lyle Foster. He was rightly left out. I am not sure if you have followed Lyle’s career overseas – he has played only five games this past season with zero goals to his name. This player, according to me, is very much over-rated. He has never really cemented a place in the starting line-up wherever he played in the past three seasons. Evidence Makgopa is a far better player than him. Foster must first command a regular place wherever he plays.
I only have two issues with the leaked team. Firstly, Keletso Makgalwa (He played less than 10 games and not even 90 minutes in most of those games) compared to Hlongwane from Maritzburg, who is deemed good enough for Bafana but not good enough for the Under 23’s. He was a regular this year and he also showed his class in his debut for Bafana.
The other issue I have is with the selection of over-age players in the team. I do not really understand the logic behind it. The Olympics are a shop window...we need to give exposure to as many youngsters as possible to the world so they go overseas as early as possible. Over-age players just keep out other talented youngsters.
