How can anyone expect the ANC to mediate in the war between their Russian comrades and Ukraine, which has support from the West? They can’t even mediate between their own factions who are fighting among themselves for power while South Africa burns. The new dawn has become a nightmare. B Wise

Merv Hughes in reply to your SMS, people are the cause of the wars – not dogs.

Bert

Merv Hughes all life is precious. If I have to run for my life, the first thing I would grab is my little dog.

Anon

Ross, your SMS on Newsroom Afrika refers. You are a star. You tell it like it is. Pity The Citizen does not do likewise. Politically correct maybe?

Truthful

Driving licence card machine cannot print fast enough. Well, what can one expect? The ANC is dead slow. Just look at how long they take to carry our prosecutions. Birds of a feather flock together.

Mike Floyd

Anon clearly doesn’t get the reason the DA is going to court over the cyclic extensions to the state of disaster. The country is currently governed by the NCCC, which is just a nice acronym for a junta. This junta can pass any ridiculous law they want and that’s what the DA and others want to stop.
