SNEAK PEEKS: WANT TO KNOW HOW YOUR FAVOURITE CELEBRITY LIVES? Show celebrates the ‘ordinarine­ss’ of stars on the local firmament.

Wat’s die Okkasie? celebrates celebrity occasions and each week one celebrity or a celebrity couple will be featured giving viewers a rare sneak peek into the private lives of their favourite celebritie­s as they plan their special event, occasion or party.

In the process, viewers will be exposed to the latest styles and trends in terms of décor and fashion. Audiences will also get DIY tips and delicious recipe ideas which will be provided by the different experts that will be assisting our celebritie­s with their special occasions such as a beach picnic, a girls’ night, a braai, and a glamping occasion and a wedding.

The tone of the show will be celebrator­y and festive. Celebritie­s that will be featured in the series include 7de Laan’s Mimi Mahlasela, who recently celebrated her 40th birthday; singer and Noot vir Noot presenter Emo Adams; Ghoema Award winner Early B’s; Sama-nominated artist in the Best Pop Album category Jarrad Ricketts (who is currently topping Top 40 charts nationwide with his hit single Take Me To Your Heart); Lee-Ann van Rooi, known for her role in Fishy Feshuns on SABC2; comedian Alfred Adriaan; fashion designer Gert-Johan Coetzee; and popular television and radio presenter Lynette Francis-Puren who recently tied the knot.

“One good thing that came out of lockdown is that as South Africans, we have come to appreciate the gift of family and spending quality time with our loved ones.

Another thing that the pandemic has taught us is the importance of living our lives to the fullest and celebratin­g each other’s milestones and successes as friends and families.

Wat’s Die Okkasie? should strike a chord with audiences who are looking for creative ideas to spice up their own occasions while at the same time watching favourite celebritie­s.
